Adidas Superstar's 50th Anniversary!
There is no denying in the fact that 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, but for the German Multinational Corporation- Adidas, this year marks 50 years of Adidas Superstar.
2020 marks the whole half-century of the three stripes. Starting from the low top basketball silhouettes in the '70s, then making its way to keeping up with the fashion trends of 2020, the Superstar's history is a storied one.
It's in the fashion news that the three stripes have enlisted a handful of its high-profile collaborators this year to reimagine the iconic superstar design. The high-profile collaborations list includes the global icon Beyonce.
Beyonce X Superstar
Beyonce and Adidas Originals continue their partnership and are here to raise the fashion trends of 2020 with the upcoming release of a new superstar silhouette. It's latest in the fashion news that they will be turning the legendary shell-toe sneaker into a divisive pointed platform. The pair will showcase unique features like a leather upper with rubber shell toe and platform rubber outsole.
The global icon Beyonce has designed Superstar Platform shoes to mark the legendary footwear's 50th Anniversary. The Beyoncé x Adidas Originals Superstar Platform will launch globally on September 18th, 2020, on the Adidas e-commerce portal.
The fashion news states that the Beyoncé x Adidas Originals Superstar Platform will release in the classic “Cloud White/Core Black/Off White” colorway.
Beyonce chose to keep the sneaker's recognizable leather upper with black stripes and a rubber shell toe. However, this time the cap will be pointed at the front and placed on an elevated layered midsole. Beyonce has given a raised platform to add extra height that will make a statement. To be precise, the rubber sole will wrap around the platform sole giving it a chunky, structured feel.
Enhancing the pointy end, the lateral also features new sharp angles. The sneaker's sole unit will be a double-stacked "Off White" rubber component that will sport a row of carved-out notches at the rear. Beyonce looks forward to keeping the co-branding subtle with her name printed on the insole just beneath Adidas‘ Trefoil logo.
