The boAt brought Kunal Rawal’s men’s wear aesthetics in a very exciting and aspirational way for the modern Indian man to Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019.
boAt, the brand deals in fashionable and trendy consumer electronics like earphones, headphones, speakers, travel chargers and premium rugged cables that are all ideal for the millennial.
This show was dedicated to stylish New Age grooms who want to make a great sartorial impression as they take their Saat Pheras with the love of their life.

boAt – the millennial favourite audio brand that deals in fashionable consumer electronics has collaborated with celebrated designer Kunal Rawal – a label that speaks to new age, multicultural and world aware audience to launch the ‘boAt X Kunal Rawal’ collection – a limited edition of headphones & earphones at the Lakmé Fashion Week. Breaking the norm, the models will be seen sporting boAt accessories like headphones and Bluetooth speakers along with designer Kunal Rawal’s latest collection.

With black cacti plants and rocks ending in an imposing tree on the stage set the ramp. The duo of live drum machine Rohan Mazumdar and Randolph Correia, guitarist kept the tempo of the beat as fast as possible, as the spirited models marched down the runway.

The special edition called ‘Confluence’ unveiled fashion for men looking for adventure in their wardrobes. Kunal brought streetwear appearances with motifs. Deconstruction was taken a notch higher in style; with design techniques that lifted the humble kurta to wedding wear level.

Heritage played a major role with Indian handlooms being the crux of the collection for kurta over-shifts. Craft touches were added with embroidery comprising prints and patterns. Kunal’s edition of the rodeo grunge effects was observed in the distressed looks and layered cuts. The designer attempted to set an anti-trend but with multiple options that would allow the trendy male to make a definite fashion statement.

It introduced the mini Bundi, curved or sharp hemlines for sherwanis/bundgala jackets and added epaulettes to them to project a trendsetting look to the collection. Some of the eye-catchers were the buttonless black bundgala, a solidary dhoti/kurta/jacket entry, long soft shirt with a rear harness, a stylish hoodie, waistcoats with lapels or high slits for shirts and a reverse closure shirt.

With lean and fitted silhouettes and extra tight trousers the sherwanis, bundgalas and jackets appeared with discreet shimmer and tonal embroidery.
The colour card was ecru, brown, white, rust, steel/light grey, black and khaki with a solitary pale pink for a waistcoat. adding to the show were boAt accessories that were effectively teamed with the garments.

Arjun Kapoor in a khaki, buttoned, textured, bundgala-cum-waistcoat creation worn with dark brown trousers turned show stopper for the talented designer.
The groom’s men-to-be by Kunal Rawal presented by boAt was a line that caused excitement at Indian weddings.
