In a partnership with Photo Vogue Festival, Gucci Beauty released an “Unconventional Beauty” series. The Photo Vogue Festival is a platform, launched on VOGUE.IT at the beginning of the year, to set some beauty industry trends 2020. The “Unconventional Beauty” series aimed towards supporting young emerging talents and promoting the theme of unconventional and non-stereotypical beauty.

The 18-year-old model with Down syndrome is setting some major beauty industry trends 2020. The model, Ellie Goldstein is from Ilford, Essex. She is represented by Zebedee Management, who aims at “supplying diverse models and offering sensitive representation.” Based in London, the management supplies talent for a wide range of pursuits, from high-end fashion campaigns to commercial advertisements all across the UK, America, and beyond.
Goldstein got her first modeling gig for the beauty industry’s giant- Gucci Beauty. The model starred in the new Gucci L’Obscur Mascara campaign alongside four other models. The campaign stood up to the company’s overall goals of supporting emerging talents and promoting the theme of unconventional and non-stereotypical beauty.
Selection And Procedure!
Being the part of beauty industry giant Gucci and Vogue Italia’s #theguccibeautyglitch”, photographer David PD Hyde was chosen to shoot Goldstein along with the other models- Jahmal Baptiste, Enam, Kadro Vahersalu, and Ruoyi Yi. All these models were selected by Hyde and artist Catherine Sevel from over 6,000 photos posted on Instagram. Started back in the first month of 2020, #theguccibeautyglitch” was an Instagram exploring project. The campaign image featuring Goldstein became the most popular picture on Gucci Beauty’s Instagram account with over 8,00,000 likes. After seeing such a positive response by the Gucci fans, Goldstein (@elliejg16_zebedeemodel) herself commented on the picture “I love this. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and a fabulous day shooting.”
