They unveiled their latest fashion trends through their Prêt collection on the ramp that was a heady amalgamation of the poster period of individualistic fashion with today's anti-conformist dressing!
"2020 will be about more-is-more!”, states the designers. ‘Mini dresses in shimmer, fringed silhouettes, androgynous -meets-gusto, glam rock athleisure, blinding-bright glitter hues, and of-course denim of the Seventies – make it a collection worth traveling back into time for!’
The colour palette used for the collection was bold hues of poppy red, twilight purple, moss green, turquoise, Kelly green, and softer tones like those of pool blue, ceramic, mint green, yolk yellow.
‘In today's digital era, where everyone is constantly being watched and every move is being judged, it's time we celebrate voyeurism in its truest form.’ Falguni & Shane believe 'If you're being watched constantly, you might as well be dressed for it!' The collection stimulates the notion of individualistic dressing, shedding away societal inhibitions, break free, repeat, mix n match, because you were born free and yet stay relevant during your screen time moulding latest fashion trends to suit your own style!
The collection featured metallic textiles, volume, ostrich features, sequins, sheer bodysuits, thigh high boots and mini dresses but also had some daywear themed pieces such as printed shirt dresses and denim jackets.
Latest fashion trends like that of athleisure elements added a casual touch to the collection but were consistent with its “more is more” aesthetic. Satin tracksuits featured collage prints of flowers, geometric shapes, and retro stripes and bodysuits featured heavy sequin embellishments
Yami Gautam wore a one-shoulder, floor length gown paired with a retro style quiff and denim cowboy boots. The gown mixed a tropical floral print with monochrome stripes to make for an eclectic ensemble. They present this collection for the eccentric individual who ceases to follow rules and yet is on-trend always!
