As the pandemic has brought new events to light, another important fashion news that is making it to the top about fashion weeks is the recent announcement by the organizers FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) and Lakme Fashion week ( Lakmé & RISE Worldwide, formerly IMG Reliance). The two prominent Indian fashion industry counterparts are coming together to organize a joint fashion week in March from 16th – 21st 2021.
The phygital show will have a 'unity logo' specially designed to mark the occasion. With a target to showcase the best fashion designers on the phygital platform, the Lakme Fashion Week & FDCI’s joint initiative will shortly be releasing the schedule for the same.
Starting on the 16th of March 2021, FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week would be opening the show on the date and closing the same at the Lakme Absolute Grand Finale on the 21st of the month. The event will also feature the prestigious talent discovery program GenNext for designers as well as promote modeling talent through FDCI's #GetNoticed Model Hunt besides other innovations. Both FDCI and LFW will continue their buyer programs launched last season as well.
