But as everyone is getting back to work, the fashion industry also has found different ways to cope up with the effects of the virus. One such way is the digitalization of fashion shows and weeks. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is once again trending in the fashion news, as for the first time, it has announced 'phygital Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week, spring-summer 2021' with DLF Emporio/ The Chanakya as the luxury partner, FDCI has scheduled the Lotus Make-up Fashion Week from October 14-18, 2020.
The latest fashion news states that the FDCI is getting all geared up for the preparations of the Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week, spring-summer 2021. The blueprint for the future includes studio set up with screens and bespoke lighting. In this studio, the designers are shooting their fashion films and videos. For the fashion week, an online ‘Designer Showroom' is being created. This ‘Designer Showroom' will serve as an online platform for the designers to upload their lookbooks. The designers can also manage their orders with domestic and international buyers through virtual meetings on this online ‘Designer Showroom'.
Observing the success of the Designer stockroom, the FDCI will open this B2C platform once again for the designers after the fashion week.
According to the fashion news, the first-ever physical Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week will stream the pre-shot fashion films on various digital platforms of the Fashion Design Council of India. These platforms include- Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and the FDCI website. The fashion films and videos will stream on digital platforms of the FDCI according to a preset schedule. The fashion week includes an impressive list of 40 participating designers. Some of the designers participating in the fashion week are Varun Bahl, Tarun Tahiliani, Shivan&Narresh, Abhishek Gupta, Ashish Soni, Suneet Varma, Payal Jain, Dhi, Shantanu & Nikhil, Geisha Designs, Namrata Joshipura, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Rina Dhaka, Rohit Gandhi+ Rahul Khanna, Rajesh Pratap Singh, and many others.
In the view of the upcoming first-ever phygital Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week, the Chairman of FDCI- Sunil Sethi, said- “We have 40 established and young designers, who are a part of this phygital showcase. This edition of the LMIFW is going to be eventful, as we have adapted to new technology. We are happy to have Lotus Make-Up continue their partnership and welcome DLF Emporio/The Chanakya as our new collaborator, on board.”
