The fashion week has kick started with a new theme #MyFashionMyTribe describing the fashion tales for everyone in all circumstances. The Fashion Design Council of India presented its 32nd edition of Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week, in association with EbixCash Spring-Summer 20.
Designers Gazal Mishra, Pinkey, Megha Jain Madan and Anju Jain showcased their latest fashion trends collection on the second day of India Fashion Week and unveiled their inspirational stories through their outfits.
The collection ‘Pathshala’ by designer Gazal Mishra leads you down to the lanes of childhood school memories which urged you to do something bigger and she weaved the fashion into beloved fables. The silhouettes included shirts, dresses, kurtas, short jackets and pants contemplated with white socks and black school fleets, embellished with red and green thread embroidery. The uniform color palette which moved around the shades of blue and purple and accessorized with golden neck layers and high bun took us to the good old memories and did justice to the title of the collection.
The collection ‘Purple Feathers’ by Pinkey was inspired by the traditional drape sarees modified for young new age woman. The fluid silhouettes like drapes and loose skirts brought softness to the ramp. The pastel and solid colors like shades of purple, lavender and pink softens the color palette along with high tied buns and metallic earrings.
no -makeup look highlighted the styled silhouettes that were designed especially for contemporary women.
The collection ‘Abstract’ by Megha Jain Madan was inspired by the iridescence phenomena in Iceland. The whole collection was lustrous and demanded playful colors and textures. The silhouettes like drapes, skirts, crop tops and short jackets were created to appeal the feminine women and unleash the latest fashion trends.
Fabrics like silk and sheer were dipped into the colors like mint green, mint purple and blush pinks with a tint of shimmer. The whole line up refines the tastes of elegance and experimentation.
The collection ‘Just like That’ by Anju Jain was inspired by the majestic landscape of the Brahmaputra and reflected the modern woman rooted deep into her cultures like a flowing river. There were embroideries with a touch of stylish sequins designs. It was all decorated with flower tiaras reflecting nature.
The chic silhouettes like long flowy skirts, capes and crop tops over the fabrics like organza and sheer net in colors like mehroon, whites, mint green and shades of blue and grey reminiscent the beauty of the mountains and rivers upholding the rainbow colors. Zoya Afroz, actress and winner of Miss India Indore 2013 walked the ramp in all white and satin short-long peplum styled dress with a crown and highlighting the lips.
Together all four designers brought their best on the ramp of the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020.
