Pearl Academy- Fashion Reboot

On the last day of the first-ever Phygital Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2021, the Indian fashion industry unveiled some avant-garde Diwali outfits inspiration. The fashion institution Pearl Academy showcased a design collaboration of its graduating class of 2020 from the School of Fashion at the Fashion Design Council Of India and Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week (LMIFW). The event was titled "Fashion Reboot", and was the only student-led show amidst displays by senior fashion designers such as Rina Dhaka, Rahul Khanna, Neeta Lulla, Tarun Tahiliani, and Suneet Verma during the five-day phygital fashion extravaganza. It was a collection of designs designed by students that reflect the fierce expressions and youthful essence. The designs were a representation of the signature fierce expressions of Gen Z. The virtual runway was their medium to postulate that they are fearless from the changing realities around them.

"Cosmos" By Amaare Couture

The "Cosmos" collection by Amaare Couture at the first-ever Phygital Lotus Make-up India Fashion Week Spring-Summer- 2021 effortlessly aced the list of Diwali dress for men available in the market. Creative Director of Amaare Couture- Sahib Bhatia, focused on recreating traditional Indian silhouettes with complex contemporary ideas. For the latest collection, he strived to create garments that were effortless and used garments as a bare canvas, and applied storytelling as a medium to further his experiences. He tried harmonizing different cultures and art forms that can bring newer possibilities to the fashion world. His latest collection "Cosmos" was a depiction of the collapsing and fastening cosmic matter that leads to the bewildering formation of the imperial universe.

 "Water" By Felix Bendish

The designer Felix Bendish showcased his collection "Water" at the first-ever Phygital edition of Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2021 by the Fashion Design Council Of India. For the latest quirky accessories collection, they took inspiration from the calmness of the magnificent- Ocean. The designer wanted to portray the feeling of walking through life and being strong enough and not to be destroyed after what the pandemic has done to us.

The collection dances with the waves water of, and moves along the rhythm of the beautiful aquatic creatures, sea horses, vibrant corals, and shells. It is all about LOVE AND ENLIGHTENMENT…..

"Talisman" By Janavi India

The collection "Talisman" by Janavi India presented a different style statement for the bold. There is no denying that each one of us has been through a lot in the past few months. The brand firmly believes in the quote that- Every cloud needs a silver lining - a ‘talisman,’ a personal totem, that give us comfort. Janavi India presented three distinct stories that weaved together symbols for ushering in happier times, for the celebration of life. This particular collection was precious for Janavi India as they presented Chaplin x Janavi India collaboration. It was a capsule collaboration with Kiera Chaplin - actress and granddaughter of English actor-filmmaker Charlie Chaplin.

"Blitzen" By Pawan Sachdeva

The label "Pawan Sachdeva" launched their latest collection named BLITZEN. The designs had a very futuristic approach designed for the trend of hunger urbanities. Blitzen showcased a palette of Inky Blues and Blacks, technical tints of grey, and shiny metallics. The fabrics were inventive and modern. The garments portrayed the use of reflective tapes and PU fabrics. It had coated and proofed outerwear, super-light jackets layered with zipper t-shirts, and jogger pants along with highly functional details. The designs got inspired by the contemporary industrial design and tech revolution.

"Conditions Counterplay" By Vikram Bajaj

Vikram Bajaj through ‘Sport-Couture’ contended to deliver the best of both the worlds. The latest designs had trailblazing silhouettes and ultra-modern graphics for the Dandy, the Rebel ‘the bad boy’ who is adored by the sexes. The line aimed to lay equal weightage on the design and functional value of each piece. The color palette ranged from shades of Kapok Green and Soft Khaki to Illusion Blue with hints of a Lemon drop, Fuchsia, and Urban Orange. Each garment from the collection showcased remarkably unique designs of the chic occasion.

Lotus Make-Up Beauty Show

Anu Kaushik, Vidya Tikari, and Joy Goswami, the three makeup artists, presented a beauty show at the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring Summer- 2021. The artists presented the beauty show to make a bold statement about their profession. With the beauty show, the artists tried to show how faces act as metaphors of happiness. They used Lotus Makeup products to accentuate the looks. The beauty show was based on three themes- beauty trends of 2021, artsy makeup, festive makeup. The studio space of the Fashion Design Council of India was turned into an art gallery for the beauty show. Customizations were done in the art gallery for each segment. Each segment consisted of five inclusive faces. The outfits adorned in the beauty show were by the designers JJ Valaya, Rajesh Pratap Singh, and Amit Aggarwal.
