These unprecedented circumstances have made us understand how important it is that we stand strong together to support our people, communities, and industry. Giving back has been embedded in PVH Corp.’s culture all through there 140-year-old history, and it is part of their identity as a company. 

The fashion news states that PVH as a part of the immediate and ongoing funds to support the industry and the communities where they work and live will make contributions to organizations that are addressing the needs of their global supply chain workforce. Along with that, they’ll offer resiliency grants to local partners and community foundations concerning the needs of communities witnessing some of the biggest impacts.

PVH started shipping 2M + units of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which further includes, isolation gowns, masks and face shields to the Montefiore Health System in New York for supporting healthcare workers.

The PVH Foundation has decided to contribute the US $1M toward COVID-19 relief, along with a $100,000 donation to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund designed by the UN Foundation and Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, looking forward to benefitting the World Health Organization and other partners.

With their Associate Relief Fund, corporate, retail and warehouse associates in the US the ones who are suffering financial hardship due to the widespread of COVID-19 can receive grants to provide financial assistance.

According to the fashion news, along with their $1M commitment, PVH had also made a 2M RMB (≈ USD 275,000) contribution to the Chinese Society of the Red Cross, a $50,000 contribution to A Common Thread, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund initiative to raise awareness and provide support for those in the American fashion community who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Manny Chirico, The Chairman and CEO of PVH according to the fashion news stated, “As I work with our global leadership team to address a responsible plan forward for our business, how we execute it as good corporate citizens is an important part of our discussions, there is no roadmap for this crisis, but I know that at PVH we have strong values and connections to our communities.”

They continued by stating that there will be a long road ahead, and they promise to share updates as they navigate through these uncertain times. PVH looks forward to ways how they can best make an impact and continue to drive fashion-forward for good.

Both of the well-known fashion brands continue to provide a product where it is needed the most, for the greatest impact. The fashion brand, Calvin Klein is also a founding partner and donor of OutRight Action International’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund.
