Ritu Kumar’s new line as presented in the prestigious phygital season of the FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week. By bringing the most luxurious soothing fabrics following the latest fashion trends in the center stage, Ritu Kumar is back with her unique blend of Indian craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes. This line is a colorful medley of bright hues and vibrant color combinations.
The famous fashion designer’s label is known for its approach to sustainability. Every designer collection that flourished in the market over the years, had a touch of natural fibers, and the fashion designer’s countless ideas open a wider door to more sustainable solutions. Her designs show an uptight sophistication with a marked sense of simplicity to the designer’s garments.
This year’s Lakme Fashion Week, Ritu Kumar managed to create a stylish blend including modern minimalism with a boho sequence. She added a variety of yarn dyes that brought many mixes and match options for the outfits which embodied the theme of creative control.
The famous fashion designer presented vibrant, floral prints with an added patchwork, and an amalgamation of pretty laces with intricate geometrical designs in the end which features the latest fashion trends and is adopted by many other fashion designers in the country.
The collection also comprised of a youthful suit line, that as followed by beautiful soya fabric saris worn in luscious drapes along with fun, geometric patterns.
The opening in the Lakme Fashion Week was done in an utterly feminine, cutaway shoulders, printed and drop-waisted creation, and continued with an asymmetric, grey, embroidered tunic that had an utter stylish comfort.
While moving along the show, printed capes appeared over the soft flowing midis, a small pin-tucked yoke dress was a modest sense in style, while the maxi added with a scarf with hanging tassels at the waist made a ravishing fashion clothing outfit. Fluid dresses with rear tie-ups, black/white abstract print top with draped pants, a casual wear kaftan, and beautiful shirt dresses featuring a tiny collar, cinched at the waist with a scarf brought all the trendy varieties to the designer's collection.
In the collection, Ritu Kumar’s Indian specifications rocked the runway with handsome dhoti pants, with a robe and cuffed ankle salwars paired up with a tunic made a stylish statement for men. The previous soya fabric saris were created in a stir while they appeared at the highest unconventional and unique styles with blended colorful hues of colors and prints. According to fashion clothing, from draped pleats at the back to creativity cinched at the waist, these saris were one of the major highlights of the collection and resembled beautiful ensembles all over.
The fashion designer managed to keep the hemline at the midi level to allow the lush silhouettes to swirl around the runway models.
The scarf was a prime accessory in all the prints with added plain and tassels that appeared around the neck or the waist in different styles which resembled a cummerbund in the Lakme Fashion Week.
Sleeves were given great significance for the creations for this coming season. The designs have moved from bell shapes dolman and drop shoulder to long flowing versions that turned into batwing options that perfectly embody the feminine forms of fashion clothing.
When it comes to fashion that is timeless but practical and trendy, Ritu Kumar’s latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection presented by TRESemmé, had all the requirements for the well-dressed woman who is all into making a striking entrance in the show.
