Indian fashion designers were not dampened by the outbreak of COVID-19 instead, they looked for ways to showcase their designs. The designers aptly understood the fact that in times such as these, only creativity can lift people's spirits. Hence, the Fashion Design Council Of India (FDCI) introduced the first-ever Phygital Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2021. Designers like Suneet Varma left no stone unturned in making the phygital fashion week a hit. On day two of the event, he unveiled his collection titled ‘The Eternal Lightness of Being,' which showcased gorgeous cocktail-ready ensembles.
The latest collection, ‘The eternal lightness of being- to love, to hold, to kiss’ by Suneet Varma, is trending all over the Indian fashion news. The ace couturier has yet again raised the standards of women dressing sense in India as he introduced a light, airy, and effortlessly feminine couture line that is graceful, versatile, and elegant. The color palette had aquatic shades of mint and soft teal.
Suneet Varma's designs portrayed a lazy breeze, a dreamy day, and the laughter of lilacs, an idyllic summer mood that was set off by colorful prints, soft hues, and relaxed silhouettes. The fabrics included crushed georgette, chiffon, and organza that created light caressing textures in somber pinks, refreshing yellows, blues, and limes. ‘The eternal lightness of being' had tailored tunics, stylized sarees in chiffons, belted sari paired with a heavily embroidered blouse, the cropped, asymmetric tunic with a cape, and draped sari-inspired cocktail skirt with a matching blouse.
